SUNY New Paltz has it all! Just far enough from New York City for students looking to get away from home, but within a 2-hour drive or train ride to easily get back to the city if necessary. Medium-sized (just under 7,000 undergraduates), SUNY New Paltz combines access to opportunities with a supportive environment. A public liberal arts college with a range of strong programs, New Paltz is one of only a few SUNYs with an undergraduate engineering program (including majors in electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering).
